We understand that some of you are still anxious about these tricky times, so we have listed some helpful guidelines. Your holiday, safety and enjoyment are of paramount importance to owners Peter and his Father Rodney. We know that you, our lovely Gitcombe guests, will respect each other and will adhere to these gentle constraints resulting in everybody enjoying their holiday on the Estate.
Please do not come to Gitcombe if you have Covid.
We continue to follow the guidelines and rules set out by Professional Association of Self Caterers, and our local housekeeping teams are fully up to speed on cleaning requirements set out by PASC. https://www.pascuk.co.uk/
Having sought the thoughts of several of our regular guests we believe that our post-Covid plan is the best way forward. We also feel sure that all like-minded Gitcombe Guests will work together as one big family so that everyone will benefit from a well-deserved break in such trying times.
We must be prescriptive over several “instructions” and ask for you co-operation:
We ask you to self-regulate and take turns, to use some of the facilities. A set rota would be too prescriptive, there are acres of land, beaches, 2 pools, a tennis court, a hot tub, and an outdoor play area, not to mention Summer BBQ’s and sunbathing on your patio. If guests all “share” there is more than enough to go around!
The Indoor Pool: (security gate 1234), will be available to early bird ADULT ONLY swimmers from 6.00 am to 8.00 am, and shuts for cleaning at 8.00 pm. It will be cleaned, daily, by the team. Supervised children from 8.00 am onwards. 2 households sharing per hour, bookable on the day, on the white board in the pool area. Multiple bookings are allowed but please avoid taking all the prime slots!
Sauna and Steam Room: 1 household sharing per hour, bookable on the day, on the white board in the pool area.
Soft Play Area: We do not feel it is necessary to operate a booking system for this.
Tennis Court: Please book on the white board outside the court entrance.
The Outdoor Pool: (security gate 1234) -opens last Bank Holiday in May and shuts 2nd week September). We do not feel it is necessary to operate a booking system for this.
The Hot Tub: is open all year round. We do not feel it is necessary to operate a booking system for this. (Please pop the cover back on after use).
Outdoor Play Area: We do not feel it is necessary to operate a booking system for this.
24 hrs prior to your departure a refuse sack and a laundry bag will be left outside your holiday home. Please bag up the laundry/towels and sheets. Please put dirty tea towels and oven gloves in a separate bag. Collect up all your rubbish, to include any soaps/shampoo etc and seal in the bag provided. Load the dishwasher, switch on, and open all the windows prior to departure. We respectfully request that you vacate by 9.30 am to enable the cleaning programme to start again.
