Gitcombe Retreat

The property sits in a spectacular position at the top of the estate, accessed via a tarmac drive adjacent to the indoor pool. Designed with privacy in mind, it has its own parking for up to three cars and is fully accessible, including ramps and wide doorways. An Easee EVC point (AC230V) is available on the side of the Retreat; guests should bring their own charging cable and book on line or arrange payment with the Gitcombe team in advance.

A large enclosed porch with generous storage for coats and wellies opens into a stunning Fired Earth limestone floor that leads to the main living area. Lofty ceilings and extensive glazing provide light, space, and unrivalled views while maintaining privacy. Comfortable sofas, a stylish Morso log burner, and a Roberts 300 Bluetune Smart Music System provide warmth, entertainment, and atmosphere. Bi-folding doors open onto the wraparound oak balcony, with outdoor seating and dining for ten — perfect for enjoying views, meals, or a gentle evening under the stars.

The generous, well-equipped kitchen looks out through expansive glazing, allowing chefs to cook while remaining part of the conversation. A solid oak dining table seats ten adults comfortably, providing a calm, balanced space for shared meals. For an extra-special experience, a private chef can be hired to elevate any stay. Coffee lovers can bring or order compatible compostable pods for the Nespresso Citi  Z & Milk Machine by Magimix.

Bedroom One (Ground Floor – Accessible)
Light, spacious, and connected to the parking area, with a luxury accessible en-suite featuring a king-size bed. The oak-frame character continues from the living area, offering both ease of access and designer detail.

Lower Ground Floor Bedrooms
Oak floors and underfloor heating create a calm, clean feel. Soft Farrow & Ball tones and furnishings by Holy Keeling Interiors provide warmth and comfort. Each bedroom has direct garden access.

• Bedroom Two (Master) – Super king bed, ample storage, room for a cot, spacious designer en-suite with shower, WC, basin, heated towel rail, and views of the private garden.
• Bedroom Three – Configurable as double or twin, sole use of the main bathroom with walk-in shower and Ashton & Bentley designer bath.
• Bedroom Four – Super king with en-suite shower, room for a cot, direct access to hot tub and outdoor seating.

Crisp sheets and fluffy bathrobes are provided for the hot tub. Cot size: 2 × 96cm x 68cm (guests should bring linen and if they wish an extra quilt for base).

Linen cupboard and utility room

A linen cupboard stores clothes and towels, while the utility room has a sink, Miele washing machine, and separate tumble dryer.

Private gardens with far-reaching views, exclusive use of the hot tub, and barbecue area. The wraparound oak balcony features dining and seating for large gatherings, making it perfect for family meals or evening relaxation.

Parking for 2–3 cars directly in front, with additional space in the general parking area.  Situated in the parking area to the side of the Retreat is an EVC point.
