Christmas & New Year

Our cottages offer quality, comfort, style , warmth, well equipped kitchens and all that you need to make the most of this special family time. What's more, you can relax in our wonderful leisure spa with its heated indoor pool, sauna and steam rooms. The hot tub is magical on a frosty winter's morning or at night, under clear, starry skies. The active can work out on the all weather surface tennis court or go for a hilly jog. Children can wrap up snugly and burn off energy in the out door playground, or for smaller tots, safely practice tumbling in the soft play area. Couch slouches can relax on a comfy sofa, with a good book and a glass of something interesting. If it rains, there's more than enough to do indoors and should it snow, thenits time for snowmen. And don't worry, there's a complimentary potted Christmas tree, so you won't have to strap that on the car roof! Being away from home doesn't mean missing out on good times. There's lots to see and do, with top notch eateries (including Mitch Tonk's fab Seahorse Restaurant and the restaurant Angelique ), pantos, carol singing and ice skating at Plymouth or Cornwall's spectacular Eden Project. Stop off for a mug of steamig hot chocolate after a bracing stroll on Blackpool Sands' amazing award winning beach. May be have a hearty breakfast there in the Venus Cafe or go for brunch at the ever popular, continental style Al Fresco's Cafe, in Dartmouth, the sausages are fab. No need to worry about braving the crowds whilst food foraging, Waitrose and Sainsburys both deliver to your cottage door, including the Christmas crackers. If you want to try the local produce, Riverford Organic can deliver a wonderful selection of their reknowned vegetables and groceries. Or may be ask one of our local caterers to fill your fridge or freezer with delicious ready prepared meals. You might decide to book a private chef to come and cook for you. Flowersmiths in Dartmouth provides gorgeous fresh festive flowers. And if you want some adult time out, we can put you in touch with our lovely baby sitters. New Year's Eve, join the revellers, many in fancy dress clothing, on Dartmouth's quayside to welcome in 2013, everyone will be there! Or just quietly chill in comfort at Gitcombe....
