Redeeming Virgin Atlantic Air Miles
Redemptions in spring, autumn & winter
Air Miles are redeemable mid February - mid June & mid September - mid December (excludes July, August, Easter, Christmas, New Year, & all school holiday periods) subject to availability.
The number of air miles required is per barn, per day (ie not per person). Properties vary in size, facilities within them and the location at Gitcombe. All share the same access to leisure facilities.
- Meavy & Yennadon Barn (both sleep 4 + infant in acot)
55,000 air miles per night (Min stay 2 nights, at 110,000 air miles)
- Coach House (sleeps 4 + infant in a cot) & Burrator, Haytor, Maristow (sleeps 6+ infant in a cot)
62,500 air miles per night (Min stay 2 nights, 125,000 air miles)
- Garden House (sleeps 8+ infant in a cot)
77,500 air miles (Min stay 2 nights, at 155,000 air miles)
NB Virgin Air Miles cannot be used to book Gitcombe House itself (largest property).

The maximum number of guests per property, as stated, must not be exceeded.
Air miles must be redeemed in full units of 55,000, 62,500 or 75,500 air miles; we are unable to accept less than the full amount. If you have less than the full number of units required, it is possible to purchase extra air miles direct from Virgin.
As long as you have sufficient Virgin Air Miles for a 2 nights stay, you can pay Gitcombe direct to secure additional nights. (Rates vary depending on property required)
Booking your stay: check availability of preferred property with Gitcombe (with the required sleeping capacity/suitability for number in/ages of your party). Confirm with Gitcombe when wish to proceed. Gitcombe will reserve the property for 3 working day and requires your Flying Club membership ID and contact details. Contact Virgin's Flying Club and redeem your air miles. Virgin will issue your redemption note and send Gitcombe a copy. Gitcombe will e-mail formal confirmation of your booking and your arrival info. Do contact us if you do not receive this.
Redemptions during peak periods
To redeem air miles for peak periods, contact Gitcombe direct to establish the cost of any payment necessary: call 07803 712678 or e mail at [email protected]. Let us know how many there are in your party (adults, children, infants in cots) and your preferred date/s of stay. All other terms and booking procedures apply as above.
ALL REDEMPTIONS: once Virgin Air Miles are redeemed we are unable to refund your booking or any payment if you cancel your date of stay.
